Landa Park 19 Aug 2006 Part 2

After we went to Landa Park we went to Ducky's right near the Comal River Tube Chute and Schlitterbahn (rated the country's best waterpark by the Travel Channel). Ella is really excited about her snow cone.

Oh yeah. Check out my ride down the big slide at the pool. Katie was the excellent photographer on this one.

Landa Park 19 Aug 2006

We went with two other families to Landa Park in New Braunfels, Texas. They have a really great spring fed pool there that is a lot of fun. As you can see we had a really good time.




 

Greg's Birthday Cake

Check out this really great birthday cake that Kaite made for me. It comes from "The Pastry Queen" by Rebecca Rather of the "Rather Sweet Bakery" in Fredricksburg Texas. We really love going to this bakery. They have really outstanding sandwiches. Many of you have eaten there when you've come to visit.

Scorpion in the Tub

Check out this nice scorpion Katie found in our bathtub the other night. We put the quater next to him to give you a sense of scale. We just love the Texas wildlife, don't you?
 

Kelsey in Texas Part 3

We also went to Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

And of course we had to stop so Katie could get some sparklers. $2.15 worth.

Kelsey in Texas Part 1

Kelsey came to visit us in San Antonio during the end of June and beginning of July 2006. You can see that the girls had a great time beading. Even Ella had her bead project. Katie taught Kelsey lots of good techniques.

I took Friday off from work and we went to the Guadalupe River State Park. We had a great time playing in the water. Ella loved wadding around at first but she didn't like floating the river too much because she fell in up to her ankles. Very serious.Kelsey got a little silly with the cheap Wal-Mart tube.
Guadalupe River State Park has this beautiful wall next to the river. There wasn't a lot of water due to the near drought conditions but that just made it more of a lazy river.

Obviously we were having fun while Kelsey kept an eye on Ella.
